It's an IL-2 video, my god the graphics are outstanding.  But the orchestral Teutonic/Wagner-like song that begins 1/2 way through the video is driving me crazy - I know I've heard it before.

btw, two late-model Spits strafing a Japanese submarine and then tearing apart a Zero floatplane - incredible water and splashing effects.

Thanks for your help!

I think he was asking about the faster paced epic music near the end.

Your correct...

O Fortuna

In 1935/36, O Fortuna was set to music by the German composer Carl Orff for his cantata Carmina Burana where it is used as the opening and closing number. It opens on a slower pace with thumping drums and choir that drops quickly into a whisper building slowly into a steady crescendo of drums and short string and horn notes peaking on one last long powerful note and ending abruptly. A performance takes a little over two and a half minutes.

The Credits state

Artist:  David Bell, Vernon Handley & London Phil's Harmonica Orchestra

it also says you can buy "Variations on an original theme "Enigma' Op. 36: IX Nimrod (A. J. Jaeger)" on Itunes and Amazon MP3.

It does sound like Enigma with the Gregorian Chants.

Yeah I went to iTunes store and previewed but it didn't sound like the right song.  Will check O Fortuna - that sounds familiar.  Thanks!

I shared a link to a YouTube video of O Fortuna in my previous post, it starts playing in the first seconds.

Too bad nobody has yet produced really authentic sounding outside voices where the aircraft engine noise would be filtered and phased by layers of air, you know the way the sound splices and changes.

If you can remember a few lines from the song just Google the name of the lyrics.
