Can anyone guess the name of this pilot?

I'll give one small hint...he is a current player of Aces High, though he hasn't flown in a couple of months (hope all is well).

To be a fighter pilot at that time he'd have to be in his late 80th/early 90s now. Do we really have someone of that age here?

Vilkas is, but he was a conscripted AA gunner for the Germans.  His story of his escape is astounding.  Nicest guy in the game too. :aok

His interview on vtards.tk states he was born 1916  so he is 95

Engine flamed by enemy flak, continued to bomb objective, gave his two crew members time to bail out but he was the only one who made it. Picked up by US Submarine.

i remembered him getting picked up. thought i saw a show, where they interviewed him about that....thought i remembered him thinking he was dead, and that the sub surfacing there was pure luck for him?
