Gents,
I am handing over FSO to Squire, (Warlock in game) who over the years has gracefully managed to avoid the team lead slot.
He is smarter than he looks. Running FSO can be difficult, but I actually enjoy it.
Having started FSO back in 2001 and managed it on and off all those years has been a source of great enjoyment for me, thanks to many of you. It has grown beyond what I ever expected due to the designs of the Admin CMs, hard work of the Setup CMs, and countless hours of the terrain team making the terrains we enjoy so much. I think FSO and more importantly the FSO community is the best of Aces High. I know many of you agree. The posts by players every year that state the only reason they are still flying Aces High is because of FSO speaks volumes.
My reasons are quite simple. Just don't have the time with my kids involved in so many extra curricular activities, volley ball, wresting, martial arts, acadec, etc. Sure beats them just sitting at home watching the T.V.
Also a new business, some 'positive' changes in my teaching career, and I have to plan a Washington D.C. trip with my class. The list could go on, but you all get the idea. All good stuff!
We have some new members on the team and other CM's who are willing to help out as needed. Guppy and Fencer agreed to do a design this year and I hope they continue. I hope 68Raptor will take a shot at a design, (I think I have him talked into it). Bino is new to the Admin team and will be designing some too with Nefariouis and Squire of course. Setup CMs are Snakeplissken, TracerX, UncleKurt, Molsman, and most recently added, ImADot. Man, I hope I did not miss anyone!
FSO is not a game, it is a hobby. It is about getting together online with your friends, having some laughs, some action, and experiencing some World War II history. Here's to another 10 years.
