I have been thinking about renting it for the xbox. Anybody try it on a console?

If your PC can run it, definitely get the PC version. The dragline are better and the amount of mods put out (over 1,000 after the first 2 weeks) is so much more worth it. I cannot wait until the Mod Kit comes out.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I had a kill here last night.  Come around the corner and there were two bandits...

The first comes running up and says something to the effect of 'You're in the wrong place bud' and I lop his leg off and slash down his chest...  then the girl says, 'Do your worst!' and I come back in the same motion w/ a backhand and her head goes flying into the air and bounces across the groud.  It was absolutely hillarious.

I have it on the 360. It's absolutely fantastic. So much to do, so much everything, it's simply incredible.

Graphics are similar to Oblivion, but far FAR better in my opinion.

The graphics and animations look outstanding.

Too bad EverQuest and the immersion it brought was developed in a time before the technical capabilities of this game's graphics.  That would've been one sick MMORPG.  (Saying it in past tense because the cherry of MMORPGs has been broken and it will never be the same...)

This guy has no troubles with decapitations.

Peek inside the home of Skyrim's first serial killer

ack-ack

We can only hope this is an effective outlet for this guy , otherwise I expect we'll find out more about him than we wanted to know in the news .
Sooo....What , are those guys here to kill you because God forgot too ?

I might buy it on computer when the price goes down. But even on the Xbox it is very good looking.

Sounds like you have a crappy rig BaDkaRmA158Th. Not any game maker's fault.

Geforce 8800 Gtx
Amd athlon 64 dual core 6400+ 3.21Ghz
4 gigs ram
Xp Sp3

Its not a super computer like something could be made rightnow.. today, but it sure isnt a xbox or ps3 in stats either, i can run any game, on full any time i want still. Save skyrim, its not the FPS, its not the loading, it's just strange odd stutters for no reason.

Ill wait till they update it more, maby they can make the port more stable so it can run decently on computers, untill then its going to sit on the shelf along with duke forever, deux ex and a entire slew of other dog crap games made recently and in the past.

 :salute

P.S. i have a huge problem with them bragging about a new engine, that honestly..looks just like all the rest. And is dumbed down far greater then even other versions were. Remember walking from a mountian INTO town in morrowind? please tell me how a new engine "hah" running on better systems under performs whatever "enhancements" they made from past engines.

World sizes have plumited ,look it up. Animations have been elimited time and time again "remember when moving forward, backwards, side to side had different effects based on whatever weapons were being used? DUH a long sword is good for slicing and stabbing!"

Game features have been time and time again cute away, leaving  a hollow shell of what previous games use to have.

But what bothers me most is how skyrim and fallout3/NV feel dang near exactly the same.

k, i feel better now.

There's a new beta driver out...amongst other things, it turns on ambiant occlusion for Skyrim.

Check out this thread on Nexus Forums.

It might help...or not.  YMMV

Thanks dot, that might help.

Its also important to note how many lines of code were missing or left out of skyrim, in the .ini's "maby even still"

Entire system specific information doesn't exsist like it did in other elder scroll games, people have already begun "reincorperating" some of these lines of code turning some things on and off with often great effect.

Bought it for PC.  Very pretty game.

Buggy as hell.

If I had known it was going to be as buggy as it is, I would have waited 6 months and bought it after it got patched half a dozen times and it would have been half the price to boot.

I haven't experienced any bugs yet, a lot of people say their shadows look weird, mine looks fine unless I turn off AA.

Closest thing to a bug I found was:

You can Shout neutral/friendly NPCs off cliffs or stairs and kill them without consequences. It was funny as hell the first time I realized I could do it.
And the death animation against Giants, where you fly into the air higher than the mountains around you.

All these "bugs" are hilarious to me, and I would hate to see them get "fixed".

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I get a crash to desktop (no error message, I'm playing one second, starting at the desktop the next) if I play for over 6 hours straight or so.  I've had it happen 3 times so far I think.  Other than that, no bugs except that my re-defined keybinds act... odd.  Sometimes I have to use the default keybinds, other times it uses what I re-defined them to.

I've had crashes to desktop among other things.  But the worst is the Dragons who fly backwards, get stuck in mid air, and actually fly/run away constantly always staying too far away to engage (all while flying backwards).

This video shows some of the latest problems.
