new tank control and gunsight system is awsome

lots of new additions and updates to 3d models and new planes and tanks.

been enjoying the game quite a bit myself lately in an il2 that has in my mind been undweebified by the removal of its external view making it quite fun to fly with relistic view limitations.

lots of furballing. new turney birds like the brewester and they added a b29 which is a very powerful and highly defended bomber. hard to kill when they are up at altitude. got a tiger II thats able to stand up to about most hits from the front but can be killed from the sides and rear by t-34s without to much trouble. large bombs work too. I've been able to knock out the turret on tigerIIs after many hits and could probably get a kill with cannons if they werent always sitting on a pile of vehicle supplies that repair themsleves faster than i can damage them with 37mm.
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Just for the sake of full disclosure...

Still plenty of large base rolling hordes...

Vulching, picking, ganging

For some reason flying P51Ds, 190s, Typhies at altitude just picking seems to be accepted by the community.

Picking furballs in 262s is considered ok for some reason too.

There are still folks who will do just about anything they can think of to avoid actually fighting.

So basically the community hasn't changed at all, but there's cool new stuff!

Yes, that's right, the way people are hasn't changed in about 10,000 years.  If you are miserable, you can be miserable here too.

If you have fun you can have fun here too.

This is my personal favorite... When I am not on with the squad, I climb to the stratosphere and look just these types.  My favorite ride is the -4 as it will catch just about anything with the alt I bring into the fight.  It's almost comical to see them dive and run when they find me with alt and E on them.

I don't know why, but I get a chuckle when they start to stick stir when I get with guns range.  They spend so much time perfecting the pick, they can't defend against it.

Man this is a fun game....

I still yet to see a Betty since Ive been back.

Some cool GVs have been added. The Mossie bomber was huge. The B-29 is huge. P-47M was huge. Some of the re-dos have been huge. Mostly tho, just like it used to be, its hordes of 51Ds, LA-7s, Spixteens...ect. Less players, tho you dont notice cause theres only one LWA. But you do notice many old names are gone.  :frown: WW1 is a gas when anyones in there. Ive noticed there are far less heavy bomber squads  :frown: But the wonderful heavy bombers, my first love way back when, are still there.

The main thing tho is the Hangar is full of many, many, many airplanes and vehicles. The true gems being the lesser spits, the LA-5, the B-239, B-25H, KI-67s, Yaks...ect

Another "main thing" is you start the game and everything actually works. And its easy to set up. And help is close by. Really what good is cutting edge graphics if 1/2 the players cant even play the game? Or every time you get more then 5 planes together your FRs go to 8 FPS ? :salute

She was needed, not saying she wasnt. She was to much a part of history to be left out.

Like the TU-2 and PE-2........... :D

I fly the G4M1 in the LWA now and then.  Shot down a C.202 with it last time.

Oh yes, only one Late War Arena right now.

I don't know when you last played, but they redid the Mosquito VI's flight model and took off the flame dampers when they updated its graphics.  For me that was huge.
