Never said World of Tanks is ahead of Aces High, terrain wise yes.     WoT= Arcade Tank Game.  AH= Combat Simulation Game.  i don't play WoT anymore simply because it's to arcade for me (tank play in general) not because of the map terrain, been playing AH for over 8 years because i love flight and WWII history Air, Land and Sea that's why i still Play, just wish the Terrain had more real world physic's like other games do, in time I'm sure we will.

As far as terrain wise WOT is years ahead of what we have here, trees that fall over when hit, fences, buildings ect anything that shouldn't stop a Tank won't stop one.

Terrain is fine for flight. :)

Lets not forget buildings you can damage and DRIVE THROUGH! I love driving through small buildings and shooting at tanks hiding on the other side. It makes it even funnier when you shout OH YEAH!!! as you do it.

is there any faster way to gain xp and credits other than do random battles? mind you im not paying money to buy gold so im wondering if clan battles or anything else of the sort offers better xp/$$ gain.

Currently on the t29 trying to grind to the t34 (and t30 if i can) before they get switched to premium/TD line.

platoon up man. i think if you win, your platoon gets 1/2 of the credits/exp. from the other team. well, not sure if its platoons or tank companies.

Tank Companies and Clan Wars have a 50% of all XP earned by losing team transfer to the winning team.

You're gonna need Tier 9/10 tanks for Clan Wars...

The last time I was killed in my tank by a bomb**** was my last moment in AH. I canceld my account and left. Too long between good tank battles and then when you get a good tank battle the tards ruin it.

Decided to give WoT a try even after reading all the bad stuff about it. Sure, it has it's arcade moments/features, but damn, I am having a blast! Good tank battles all day long and no bomb****s to worry about.

My biggest gripe with the game is the vision system. You can hit a tank 1,000 yards away across an fairly flat and relatively open area and then it just disappears. You sit there watching for it to re-appear somewhere and the next thing you know it's 20 yards behind you blasting your bellybutton off. Ugh. But I have gotten used to that and have learned enough to start using it to my own advantage plus how to avoid more of the disadvantages of the system.

All in all it's a very good game that provides a steady stream of as realistic as I care about tank battles to keep me satisfied.

While it is free to play, the lower tier tanks are quite painful to get through without buying gold to speed the process. It appears that once you get a few tier 6-7 vehicles to work with you probably can play effectively for free.

Zed

once you get your crew up to 100% training then get them the camouflage skill and also buy the camouflage net.  then your tank will disappear right in the middle of the road.  then when you get tired of seeing that stupid trick then you will realize that it's not really any different that being bomb.  getting killed by tanks that appear 100 yards in front of you is so fricking stupid.

Just started playing this past weekend. Having lots of fun, just got a Panzer III fully upgraded, looking at heading up the Panther route. Although everyone else seems to go the heavy route, do the high level Panthers not do as well?
