Bomber Chipr wants the nook eh!?

I'd love to drop a nuke on the strats and wipe the lot out. It would make climbing to 30k and travelling all the way to enemy strats worth my time; getting watching the beautiful mushroom spread and turn everything into pixel dust.
It would only be abused unless it could be worked into the programming that the nuke could only be armed and dropped on strats, would bring strats and mass skytrain supply missions into the game abit more.

But then again nukes are evil mass murdering weapons.

Maybe we should have a nuke. Set the perk cost at a million or whatever would take an average player 10 years to accumulate.   :D

Perhaps there is a way we could have the nook. Run this scenario:

Instead of just having the map change once one side has taken enough of the nme bases, the nook becomes available, for again a ton of perks. The nook then must be flown and dropped on the one of the nme hq's to end the war...imagine the flight there???

One B-29, with a hundred escorts for the sake of protecting the win.... the other guys coming up in their 163's, 262's, 109k's, 47m's.... crazy crazyness....

As long as the bomb itself costs a lot of perks I see no problemo with it.  +1

:headscratch:  what scenario would that be, sayonara nagasaki?

i can picture it now, would be a great scenario, 3 frames of dogfights and hight alt b-29s with nothing in the japanese lineup that can catch them and 1 frame of a lone b-29 flying at 40,000 feet without a single japanese aircraft...3 hours, bomb away...2 minutes then flash...frame over allies win.

yup, great scenario...would rather let my legs go numb sittin on the toilet.

I was thinking more along the lines of a non-historical scenario.

If a nook cost 500 perks and B29s cost 100+ perks, how many nukes would we actually see in the game?  Before the 15 vets in the game chime in and say they have four bazillion bomber perks, i'm talking about after the first 1-2 weeks after everyone wastes all their bomber perks dropping the nukes.  How long does it take the average player to acquire 500 bomber perks?  And if so, do they really want to waste their nuke on something meaningless?  This has merit.

I would see 12 the first day alone :). I would wait for the low 262 call.  up a b29 and boom  :devil.  or perhaps come in low on a base with lots of red around looking for an easy kill then drop the bomb and wait for the pm's to start  :rofl :rofl :rofl.

I will bet that if the nuke was intro 99.99999999% would be used just like I described it.  or perhaps drop it from 10k on a base that has a friendly cv nearby and boom wipe out the cons and the base and town in one pass  .  hey I would be the vtard squad all  by myself .

It wouldn't have to wipe out all the planes.  It could just level ground targets and maybe anything below 1.5-2k.  If you see a B29 coming overhead you can get the hell out of the way.  :devil

doesn't take long to build bomb**** perks if you're using the ew and mw to farm points...just ask the people who do it.

now i know you're a squeaker...the only way it could even get close to having any merit is if it killed friendly and enemy up to 1000ft up and within a 25 mile radius.

25 mile?  The WW2 atomic bomb major shockwave/destruction was only two miles in diameter.

I am ashamed to admit there is a part of me that would love to pour a glass of fine hooch, pop some popcorn, and nook the nearest busy tank battle just to sit back and revel in the wailing and gnashing of teeth on 200.  However I don't think a reasonable case can be made to put that kind of power in the hands of 1 player.  What benefit would it have for gameplay to give one player the capability to obliterate an entire base/town/hq with one bomb?
