It amazes me at the ways people think they can get away with stupid stuff

My stepfather was a Minnesota DNR game warden for 27 years. They issued him a 182 tail dragger with STOL kit, floats and skiis for all season. The stories he used to tell us...amazing. Wish he were still around. Helluva guy, and was shot by the germans in WW2 (Battle of Bulge) but survived.

I've heard some states are doing free hunt and fishing days this year, or bringing them back due to demand for them from recent ecenomical events.  I know California's free shishing day (no license required, all other rules and regs to be followed) this year was very popular earleir this month, particularly for families and teenagers.  Texas do anything similar for their fish and game?

I remember something about a free fishing day or weekend. Free hunting no. Not sure how that would work. Even young people under 17 need a hunting license in Texas (only $7).

I always get the super combo for $68.

In Texas it is legal to hunt wild pigs, without a license, no limit, and no season.  That being said it is because of they are overpopulated badly, and do outrageous amours of property damage every year.  In fact Texas just passed a law that you can hunt pigs from helicopters.  But anyway, there was a guy that had shot a few good sized pigs, if they get too big they aren't good to eat, he didn't need a license so he did nt have one.  All is well and good right?  It was till the game warden stopped him, 4 pigs and he had mistakenly shot a javelina, his excuse was he thought it was a pig, well he got a heft fine, and almost went to jail.
