GOD BLESS THE CAMMER!!

I'm  die hard ford, but Ive always had a 1/4 nut for mopars, if i could have any it would be a 68 hemi 4gear roadrunner, 69 440 6-pack roadrunner or a 71 440 6-pack road runner oh yeah i like roadrunners.


another note, the 1970 ford torino cobra with the 429 scj and drag pack option was a high 12 second car from factory

 the 68-69 chargers do it for me for mopar, with the road runners a close second.

The 413 Max Wedge was an option for Chrysler 300's (the standard 413 making 300hp hence the Chrysler "300")  starting in '62, the MW version was made available for street/strip performance (making 420hp) and was also standard on lots of trucks up til '73.

Although a later model year than you have mentioned, this one is owned by my buddy, is still on nice shape and has a stroked 360 with a 150hp shot from the bottle  :bolt:

He has had it since we were in High School and has had many different engines in it over the years  :devil It moves pretty good for how heavy it is



He also had this until recently (also a '74, but with the ole' beast of a 225 slant-6 with almost 300k on it last time I rode with him)  :O

I believe the 1969 ram air 400 firebird pulled off the fastest stock quarter mile times of all the muscle cars and it happened in more than one magazine.

I was surprised but then I found that the engine had a much more radical camshaft with the manual transmission (no vacuum modulator) and that the manual tranny car they tested was available with 4.33 differential ratio.

You would think the GSX stage 1 or a chevelle would be faster but no tests have confirmed it in stock trim.

think someone needs to go back and do some more research.....fastest quarter mile, stock car would be a Plymouth.....I am not gonna tell you what car....leave that up to you to figure out....... :aok

Ill give ya 0ne hint...oh two cuz I already said it was plymouth....year was 69

and as far as I know...to this date no American "stock" car has pulled better times.
