OK, I have my first modest complaint: Issuing challenges. There is a slight disincentive to accept a challenge from below so we have the rule that allows one to lose their spot if they do not respond. The problem is that, as best I can tell the three above me are busy challenging up the ladder, which is good overall. It does leave me without a dance, and I don't want to make a technical case in order to move up the ladder.

What do we recommend in this case? Sonic, Shiv and Ace8 are working north, I'm whistling dixie. Could I challenge higher up then three spots? What if we change this to upwards of ten spots if the person being challenged has not been challenged in over a week. I know, complicates things just a bit but allows for more fights.

Just thinking out loud.

You point makes perfect sense. and there will be lots of questions like this popping up. Seems like challenges could be entered into a queue and it would have some kind of rules about priorities that were coded into angorythm that determines which match is next. I wonder if INK's challenge bracket software thingy already has that logic baked into it?  :headscratch:

I think the best course of action would be to use the ladder list to make and keep track of who has challenged and is being challenged.  Then only allow each person to challenge one person at a time.  The challenging of all three guys above you is causing some issues I believe.

Then when you want to challenge somebody, you copy and paste the list into your challenge post.  It would look like this.

EXAMPLE ONLY

Top Dog:
2nd Joach1m
3rd Krupnski
4th Bruv
5th SLash27
6th Sunsfan
7th AKElfy
8th Debrody
9th Zoney
10th Shane
11th Changeup
12th IrishOne
13th Simon
14th Devil505
15th Ink
16th Sukov
17th Agent360
18th DMgod
19th Pheasant
20st Scortch
21nd Strokes
22rd PFactorD - Challenged by Yarbles Oct 4
23th DrSpeck
24th Yarbles  - Challenges PFactorD Oct 4
25th Bunnies
26th Slimmer
27th Ace8
28th Shiv
29th Sonic23
30st Boo
31nd Crazy8s
32rd SEseph

34th FLOTSOM
35th KOW
36th TnDep
37th Karnak
38th Nishizwa
39th Vinkman
40th Dedalos

This shows what Yarbles would have copied and pasted into his challenge post if he were to challenge me.  Then the next person to challenge someone would copy and paste that.  Like this if Krup challenges Joachim

Top Dog:
2nd Joach1m   - Challenged by Krupnski Oct 11
3rd Krupnski   - Challenges Joach1m Oct 11
4th Bruv
5th SLash27
6th Sunsfan
7th AKElfy

18th DMgod
19th Pheasant
20st Scortch
21nd Strokes
22rd PFactorD - Challenged by Yarbles Oct 4
23th DrSpeck
24th Yarbles  - Challenges PFactorD Oct 4
25th Bunnies

Then when a duel happens, The loser reposts the list with the updated positions  and removes the challenge/challenged info from his name and the guy who beat him to indicate that they are both able to be challenged again.  Like this after Yarbles beat me.

Top Dog:
2nd Joach1m   - Challenged by Krupnski Oct 11

I like this idea a lot.....this way you can not challenge someone who has already been challenged....

also I don't mind changing it so you can challenge more then 3 up the ladder...but definitely not 10...no more then 6 but 4 or 5 would probably be better....

what say you all?

lets have some yea's or Nay's and reasons or idea's

as I said I want every one to have a vote, not responding will be a "yea"

I also wanna thank every one once again...I must say I am very happy with the conduct and sportsmanship every one has shown...some great fights have been had already...with many more to come :salute
