hey guys I have putting some thought into the difficulty in which some have had in getting in  fights.

I think we should drop the whole Challenge only up a certain number of rungs rule and make it so we can challenge ANYONE at any position on the ladder, and the only time a position is swapped is when moving up wards.....in other words only if the lower pilot on the ladder wins will the positions be swapped.

the more I think about it the more I like the idea, tell me what you guys think..... I put it up for a vote.....

I'll give it 3-4 days to get everyone's opinion on it.

 :salute

Well I think the top guys would get swamped with challenges I think if you moved it to like challenge 5 above or something might be better, just don't know how chaotic it would get

Plus, guys like me would probably get totally ignored by the better sticks.  At least now, I am a stepping stone.  Take that away and there will be no reason for the top sticks to fight guys like me.

seems like its about even on whether to change it from any challenge or just keep it the same.....so for now it will be the same, except we did change it to 4 above.....

we really need to figure out a way to avoid unanswered challenges, and if they go unanswered a way to deal with that.

throw me some ideas guys, I really think we got something good here and want to see everyone have a good time.

this is NOT my ladder but OUR ladder I want your input and ideas. :salute

I'm confused, because I thought you were using that chess program to tabulate points ranking based on wins/losses.  For example in yahoo chess the top players have rankings in the 1700s.  Anyone can challenge anyone else, but say a 1300 beats a 1700 the 1300 jumps up to like 1350 or something and the 1700 guy drops to 1650.  Or if a 1700 beats a 800 player he might jump up to 1701 haha.  I figured you were keeping tally this way and every week releasing the latest standings based on the Win losses tabulated here.  Does that chess program tabulate scores and ranks that way?

You could make it that you can challenge anyone up the ladder but the person above the ladder does not have to accept the challenge if that person is 5-10 or more spots below him.  Something like that.

it does, but I haven't been using it that way, just using it to keep track of wins and losses...and using the "ladder" for placement...but I like your idea, actually sounds like how it should be done.
