anyone else here go through their childhood spending their allowance and whatever money they could earn buying p-40 models and watching the flying leathernecks every time it came on tv? at $4 to $7 per model plus all the glue, paint, sandpaper, paint brushes, fishing line...i'm pretty sure i had over $200 (1970s value) in just p-40s alone. can't wait to fly these toon p-40s in the toon skies...
The P-40 never enamored me. I've always thought it was misproportioned and a an unfortunately ugly fighter when compared to the likes of the P-38, P-51, Spitfire and Bf109.
Sacriledge!
I'll let you have the first crack, then my turn. I'm sure there will be a long line people behind you and I to help show him just how beautiful the P40 really is.
While we are at it, <S> Lt. Col. Bud Gray SIR!

It handles exactly as it looks. Slow and draggy.
