Speed charts/climb charts
« on: October 15, 2011, 02:45:33 PM »
I mean no disrespect to the person that does them.  They are an extremely useful tool for comparing aircraft.  I do have a simple question though...

For what Earthly reason would one make a set of charts that are used for comparison between different things, and not make them all with the same scale?  Every time you flip from one chart to the next, you can't just look at the lines, you have to take a look at the numbers as well.

It's such a small thing, but it's just... Jarring.  If someone would give me the appropriate file format to submit them in, I'd happily do them up standardized.

It's something like "All battles are fought at the junction of two or more map sheets --- printed at different scales."
"Now, if I had to make the choice of one fighter aircraft above all the others...it would be, without any doubt, the world's greatest propeller driven flying machine - the magnificent and immortal Spitfire."

I imagine scale has to do with the range of that being measured. So instead of having a chart with lots of empty space they are made to use all the space available.

But for quick comparisons, they're annoying.  Is there a filename you can use to replace them, sort of like how the sounds work?  If not, could we get one?
