i'm sorry but, you do realize the base coding for bf3 is the same as it was for bad company 2 don't you? the developer company did not rewrite the entire code for bf3. with every update to ah there are issues, that have to be fixed with a patch that usually comes within days of identifying the problems yet you're going to wait weeks without so much as a grumble. let's not forget, the developers for bf3 have a much larger staff and bigger budget to work with, shouldn't they be more capable of putting bug free product?

silly talk.. big difference from bf2..

as far as updates, the game has been live for less than a week and already 5 patches..

Kappa the programmers at DICE are sloppy.  They either need to be fired (if only the toejam ones are responsible for bugs) or new ones added (if the ones responsible for these moronic bugs are also responsible for the better pieces of code).  At least some of the code is recycled, that's inarguable.

Either way a game like BF3 and BC2 and BF2 before it shipping and in some cases keeping such retarded diddlying bugs and design flaws for years, there's no excuse for it with the budget DICE have.

It's been less than a week but it's already enough to see the same stupid flaws.  That I'll bet will get the same treatment as in previous BF games.

I think  they are saying it has  similar  system requierments and is  still being run on frostbyte but they  did  alot more optimazation  so the  system requirements are very close to  BC2's while  itsd a  more robust game  its the samne  game engine.

And I laugh at you when you buy it and see that the beta was nothing but recycled BF2 code 'matured' for years and still not working.

You really aren't that smart are you?  How is it recycled battlefield 2 code?  Battlefield 2 is nothing like battlefield 3.

You can see it in the physics and bugs.  E.G. Same way your avatar behaves over sharp discontinuities like the edge of a doorway.  Or the C4 bug from BC2 that somehow carried over to BF3.

Yeah.  You'd say to me saying "why the hell would you make a game about guns where the guns don't point straight?" ... "Maybe that's how they are in reality."

Or... Why they'd make a tactical fire & maneuver game where the player doesn't even know when he gives his position away - when a grenade lands nearby or when some other guy dies somewhere on the map and he screams out, without the player even hearing himself scream.

And that's me being "impossible".  I say:  B.S.  You just don't get what I'm saying.  No conversation possible.

How did you not have those problems when those were the same for everyone?   Throw a grenade at an enemy in BC2 and he'll scream.  Without hearing himself.  Ghetto motion sensor.

How is that fair?  How do you design a game with such an unfair mechanic?  How do you keep the game this way basically forever IE never fix such a fundamental flaw?  It was almost the same with making the weapon-pickup and MCOM-arm/disarm key the same for both actions.  Just stupid flaws that only get fixed when the next game's about to come out, if ever.

There was a ton of these stupid things and the real problem wasn't that they didn't make sense but that you got fed up hearing about em.  I mean.. I'm not gonna take it wrong if you just say that.  But saying these things don't exist is just wrong.  Should I just say .. yeah.. they're not wrong?

In BF3 you still have that stupid key speed limit. You can't press keys too fast or they don't register.  Playing BC2 I figured this was a gameplay choice to make people more careful about the tactical/timing choices they make.  Same deal with not being able to reload without interrupting sprint.  But then in BF3 half of these key registry mechanics are different.  I bet you a pair of tits and beer this ain't by design but just carelessness.  Same deal with the few guns in BC2 whose gunsights still don't point straight.  I haven't gotten to the PDW-R yet, but in the beta that one had a crooked gunsight too.

Just mind boggling mountain of stupid things like bird toejam all over a Lamborghini.  You keep bringing it to the car wash saying it needs a wash, and the guy says sure, I'll give it back to you in normal condition.  You come back and it's still bird toejamted.  The guy looks at you like you're speaking greek when you say it's still covered in bird toejam.  Then he tells you you just don't know how good a car it is.  As if you'd bring the car for a wash if you didn't like it.

What'd you guys think of the campaign?

I thought it was fun, beat it in about 5hrs, pretty short. Besides the mall bit, there wasn't a mission I absolutely hated, unlike alot of other games.

Last few missions were the best.

I'm playing the campaign right now on hard and its dumb, bad guys blind you with lights or maybe its the devs idk. but you can't shoot them out, I feel like I'm running from one OMG! moment to the next.
The lighting is crap I had bad guys firing full auto from bout a 100 yds. They had lights right on top of them a patch of dark then a bright street lamp now I'm prone in the dark behind the lamp with no way for them to skylight me and as soon as I poke my head and gun from behind cover I'm almost killed this happens three times before I kill them. WTF!? Its like playing Splinter Cell and you cant turn off the lights. Your own team will push you from cover into the line of fire If that's the cover their coded to use, let numerous bad guys just walk up and kill me as well.

I mean for a game with the hype of this one I wished I had the funny comments from the team of bad company. least I had a good time while I died.
