How did you not have those problems when those were the same for everyone? Throw a grenade at an enemy in BC2 and he'll scream. Without hearing himself. Ghetto motion sensor.
How is that fair? How do you design a game with such an unfair mechanic? How do you keep the game this way basically forever IE never fix such a fundamental flaw? It was almost the same with making the weapon-pickup and MCOM-arm/disarm key the same for both actions. Just stupid flaws that only get fixed when the next game's about to come out, if ever.
There was a ton of these stupid things and the real problem wasn't that they didn't make sense but that you got fed up hearing about em. I mean.. I'm not gonna take it wrong if you just say that. But saying these things don't exist is just wrong. Should I just say .. yeah.. they're not wrong?
In BF3 you still have that stupid key speed limit. You can't press keys too fast or they don't register. Playing BC2 I figured this was a gameplay choice to make people more careful about the tactical/timing choices they make. Same deal with not being able to reload without interrupting sprint. But then in BF3 half of these key registry mechanics are different. I bet you a pair of tits and beer this ain't by design but just carelessness. Same deal with the few guns in BC2 whose gunsights still don't point straight. I haven't gotten to the PDW-R yet, but in the beta that one had a crooked gunsight too.
Just mind boggling mountain of stupid things like bird toejam all over a Lamborghini. You keep bringing it to the car wash saying it needs a wash, and the guy says sure, I'll give it back to you in normal condition. You come back and it's still bird toejamted. The guy looks at you like you're speaking greek when you say it's still covered in bird toejam. Then he tells you you just don't know how good a car it is. As if you'd bring the car for a wash if you didn't like it.
