I put dead band in all axis except zoom. Also, put a button on the stick to center the view. The dead band will let you move your head a little so the neck strain of holding it still isn't so bad .

Wow that's so annoying!

1> Press that button
2> Open paint
3> Hit CTRL-V (or select PASTE from the drop down)
4> Select the area you want to show
5> Select "crop"
6> Save file

done

Also if you have win7 use the snipping tool.  It's very helpful!

I have zero deadband and have no problems.  There is a technique you can use that works well with a two-stage trigger like in the Saitek X65 but you can also use with another button mapped on your stick or throttle.  Set forward view (keypad 8) to the first detent (half squeeze) of your trigger and the second detent (full squeeze) for all guns.  That way, whenever you need to line up your shot just pull your trigger half-way and your view is straight down the centerline of the aircraft then, after lining up fire away.  If you don't have a two-stage trigger then map forward view to an easy to use button (preferably on your throttle or that you can easily select with your non-stick hand) and do the same thing.

Look closer: He took a photo of his monitor, then moved the picture to his computer. Much extra job for a simple screen capture.

Oh, and I guess Alt + PrintScreen still works for capturing only the active window.

I have a small dead zone in the middle of the axes of my TrackIR profile, plus I have the TrackIR "center" function and the "on/off" toggle function both mapped to buttons on my throttle.

I can take a picture of my screen with my phone and post it faster than using screen capture.

Oh, all right. I'm such a Luddite that my cell phone doesn't have a camera. Nor do I use it's wap. But it's perfect for calling! [/hijack]

I've also used deadband on all of my axes to allow it to be centered when I'm at my relaxed position.  The spot where nothing moves is probably about the size of a golfball for me, maybe a bit smaller.  It works like a charm.

lol relax, some of us do not use it for calling.  actually i use mine to watch movies at work.  some texting and for looking at the bb.  I think i use around 200 minutes every month as I prefer to talk in person.
