I may build 4 racing pits for people to compete against each other.

As EA has started doing newer NFS games have online through their 'Autolog' Service. Requires unique copies of the game but yes, it has full internet support for playing online. I'd be tempted to try that 4-way competition! :D

I play online at times but if you don't do as you say (play with people you know) it gets frustrating as people are only interested in ramming you at full speed from behind instead of just passing you. Gotta have the biggest E-peen is alive and well online. Fun to use that against them at times, they don't know what a brake is so hard turns are great over-take spots.
