Excuse me, but, whats wrong with EA?

:rofl       (btw I own plenty of EA games too, it's hard not to ;)  but they are still a bloody awful company)

wonderful Blizzard of the old days is now Blizzard + Activision...and from what I read, they've already started down the same kind of route as EA since the merger. It's only my opinion, but I'm not expecting anything good from Blizzard ever again ;<   Would be nice if D3 proved me wrong though

Is is not a "merger", the 2 separate companies are owned by the same company.  More than once has it been said, by each company that they are not and will not be merging resources.  Blizzard and Activision are as different as a flower shop and a gun shop.  Regarding the comparison of Blizzard and EA, that too is like comparing an apple to an orange, they are 2 different companies with 2 different types of game, styles, management, etc.

It is amazing the amount of drama that can be drummed up over a computer game.   ;)

EDIT:
Regarding the release date it is not going to be March 2nd.  Blizzard has not made any announcement.  When they do it will be plastered all over the 'web.  In the mean time, if dates are thrown around I'd be very hesitant to take it to heart especially if it is from a store.  They need dates to "sell" to customers for pre-release orders.

It's also amazing how fanboys will delude themselves in the face of the facts :)

At the end of the day big business is about big money. If you look at the recent history of both Blizzard and Activision (WoW + CoD games particularly) you can easily see where the move was made away from quality in favour of relentless money grabbing.

I guess we'll wait and see what happens with Blizzard :aok

Coombz that might be true, but so far the impression I got playing the beta is that it'll be as polished as any Diablo game.  What I hear (cant be specific, sorry) from within Blizzard isn't worrying either.. Good work being done.  E.G. the black stone cinematic.

Big game companies almost always turn into a giant money farm. And we can't blame them, who wouldn't want more money? The beginning of big game companies like Blizzard, EA, Infinity Ward/Treyarch, Bethesda, etc etc, are always filled with fun games. Warcraft, Battlefield 1942, Morrowind, Call of Duty 4, etc etc, those were the best, and always will be. But as they get larger, they have to appeal to more users, so the games get simplified, or developers try new things that they *think* will improve gameplay, but doesn't.

Now that doesn't mean these newer games are bad, far from it (Skyrim, BF3, Mass Effect 2, to name a few examples), it's just not the same as the first ones, and those were the one that gives the best memories.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.
