 Steam

Add AH to steam would get more exposer for game. It would make it easier for other people to find this game thus making hitech more money so we can have more planes

I'm a fan of STEAM. I don't think AH should be on it.

A bunch of exposure isn't a good thing, unless it's the right kind of exposure and aimed at the right audience.

AH has a somewhat selective audience, that of WW2 aviation and history fanatics that want to fly simulators. The average uninitiated STEAM user woulndn't fit this bill.

Plus, Steam has to integrate all the games into their service. That would take it out of HTC's hands. This is one game that benefits from not having the slow-down of the STEAM middle-man.

Great Idea, put Aces High on Steam and get swarmed by Battlefield 3 dweebs wanting Sidewinders and Amraam missiles.

I would say its a good idea regardless, any new bodies are new bodies, whether they last or not is the question.

It's a rather big pain in the bellybutton to get a game on Steam, a lot of work is involved and there isn't any guarantee that it will lead to an increase in subscriptions.

Steam typically has a delay for the steam version when game updates are released which would be a problem for a game updated as frequently as Aces High.

Only for single player games is there sometimes a delay in receiving patches, MMOs are updated with the regular client.

Not that I've noticed. Anything going through steam has to pass through the steam validation process internally. That goes for any number of games. I've noticed from games ranging from BF:BC2 to IL2:1946. There's always a lag because they're not just distributing it. They're running it through the steam exe with special parameters in most cases I can recall.
