that was my first guess. other than that i thought it was just some stupid number that was made up in the 5th grade for him.

well a googol is a 1(then 100 zeros) means 1 with 0 repeating till it comes to the hundred count of zeros. googolplex is a number so i large i belive i cant discribe it so a wiki page will help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Googolplex


BTW just so happens scorp i did know about googol and googolplex in 5th grade and im taking algebra 1 honors in 7th grade now so i know a tad bit about math

that is a 10th grade course, i really dont think you have algebra 1 honors. im not being rude or mean in any way, but that just does not add up. no pun intended. in 9th grade you learn algebra, and in 8th its pre-algebra. 7th grade for me was still basic math but towards the end of the year its starting to transition over to the pre-algebra.

It depends on the school and what they offer. I was almost done with algebra when I was a freshman and went into calculus. Remember this was back in the mid 70's. My son was doing college credits in HS in both JR and SR years.

my school's advanced porgrams allows 7th graders to take algebra 1

9th grade algebra (at high school level)
10th grade geometry or algebra 2 (algebra 2 is a way harder class)
11th algebra 2 or pre calc
12th accounting or calculus

I have seen cal do all of those things, he has the stable limiter on just to make it even for us.

Pretty common here in Florida to take Algebra I in 7th Geometry in 8th Algebra II in 9th then take pre-cal in 10th then Calculous (dont know how to spell it haha) your Junior Year.

Im taking Algebra II right now and after this i'm going to take all of my math courses at the college down the road through dual enrollment and plan to graduate with my 2-year degree.

Ten good dive bombers in 190A-8's each armed with the 500kg bomb (1100 lbs) AND the dual 30mm, dual 20mm, and dual 13mm gun package can certainly take down the town.  But that would require too much work for the horde to do, so it wont ever be done.
