How many did you break and how did you break them?

2 350's and 1 305

1st 350 i shattered the crank shaft

2nd 350 spun a main baring

305 broke to much to list.....all doing the same thing........driving them fast....yet never even went above 125 with them.

the 340 in my Challenger.....well........it was unbreakable.

i did a constant speed of 125 plus(except stopping for tolls/gas) for over 24 hours.....on a few occasions, couldn't break that thing.

How many miles did they have on them? How well were they maintained? Come on.... the 350 has a history of being a very sturdy engine.. you've got 3 motors beat up and you are going to try to change history.  lol

Well FWIW, the motor in those cars redline is at 6500, and even had a rev limiter at 7200.  Sorry... 8000 caught my eye.... shenanigans.

my mistake, was confusing it with something else I drove recently. it was a twin carb 1.4l single cam, pretty sure the clock redline was 6800 but it was fine to 7000. you may not have had that engine in the US, honda produced so many different versions.

btw thanks for implying I'm a liar :aok

Nah, I rarely imply anything.  If I thought you were lying, I'd have called you a liar outright.

My assumption was you just didn't remember the  redline numbers... completely forgivable, considering it probably happened a while back.

That was a serous question.

The modern V6 is a testament to the current design philosophy that you can polish a turd, providing you chrome plate it first. I find that design movement very very funny.

If you can get a V6 to do a job a V8 normally does why not do it? For example take the GTR and compare it to every single V8 car for the same price.
I really don't see anything "funny" about it, I think it's sad that a V8 car with equal performance is twice as expensive.
