A What If Scenario.
It's early 1943 and both European Allied and Axis powers have begun to develop many tactics and strategies from over three years of hard conflict. Both sides have filmed thousands of hours of aerial gun camera footage and gleaned every tiny morsel of intel on how the other side flies their aircraft. Fueled with this knowledge, both sides have begun secret training of thier personnel for the next phase of covert operations.
The Executive Branch of the United States of America has commissioned the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) to coordinate espionage activities behind enemy lines for the branches of the United States Armed Forces. Operation Brother's Keeper was authorized to sow dissension and paranoia withing the battle hardened German Luftwaffe. The primary goal is to recruit, train, and insert highly capable German speaking pilots behind enemy lines in order to impersonate authentic Luftwaffe pilots and commadeer as many Luftwaffe aircraft and create havoc and destruction as much as possible. These brave men were empowered to utilize the stolen aircraft armed with heavy firepower to bomb and strafe German industry and airfields and to fly side by side with trusting LW pilots and easily slide in right behind them and shoot them down while thier guard was down. These brave men knew that this would be the most dangerous assignment of thier lives and would make a powerful blow against the enemies of freedom.
Wilhelm Canaris, commander of the Abwehr (Defense - German Military Intelligence), created a special section called Kriegluft (Air War). This section fell under the Amtsgruppe Ausland (Foriegn Branch) which coordinated with the military. It's goal was to take the creme of the crop from the leading Luftwaffe Aces and train them to speak perfect English and send them behind enemy lines. There they were to create fear and panic by stealing Allied aircraft to bomb and strafe towns filled with civilians in order to make the British think the RAF and USAAC had bezerk pilots killing civilians. This would help make the British not welcome the Americans and drive them apart. Each operative was aslo given instructions to locate any RAF or USAAC aces and shoot them down in flight under the guise of friendly aircraft. These operatives each sworn an oath to follow thier orders or die in the attempt for the Fatherland and thier Fuerher.
Both sides have begun experiencing strange stories of fellow countrymen going berzerk and suspicion has started to make lifelong friends to mistrust each other.
This FSO would create this hypothetical scenario by having each side be given a "renegade squad". The Admin CM will send an email to one non-CIC Allied and one non-Axis squad per frame when the Objectives are sent. The chosen "renegade squads" will be kept secret from the side CIC and side squads known only to the Admin CM. The side CIC's will create the Frame Orders and mail them out accordingly. When the "renegade squad" receives the Frame Orders, they have no requirement to follow them. They can choose to do whatever they want and create chaos and confusion in whatever fashion they choose. They must act as if they are on the enemy side and can shoot down friendly aircraft plus bomb and strafe "friendly targets".
This will create the Air of Suspicion. Will the squad flying with you watch your back? Will the Strike Commander have your squad be used in a suicide mission?
