Tanks in WW1

I want WW1 tanks and HiTech would have to change the WW1 dogfight arena to WW1 arena.
 With that said, here are 2 tanks I want IF we get it changed to just "Arena"

Mark IV Tank :

Were there ever any tank vs tank battles in WW1?  From the little I know of that time frame, tanks where used for infantry support or to help break the stalemate of static trench warfare. Without infantry, trenches, miles of barbed wire, or anything to attack other than other tanks; after a few weeks they would probably end up as a seldom used part of an arena that doesn't get much population anyway.

Question. What is that piece of lumber chained to the Mk IV used for? The tank seems to have been modified to allow the board to move along and over the tank with the treads.

it was kindov like a way to get a little more traction when getting out of a trench, it kept the treads level

That pile of sticks is dumped into a trench so the tank can drive over it.

     Think there was one battle where German A7Vs engaged Whippets and Mark IVs, they sorta lost but it was really
more of a skirmish than a battle.  The bundle of sticks was called a fascine iirc.
     The timber was used to aid traction or to help "unstick" the caterpillars.
