For what purpose?  Though it was a troop carrier, it doesn't look like a plane built for paratroopers.  From what I read on Wiki, only 22 were built during wartime.

So although it looks cool, -1 for lack of function and need.

While it'd be cool to have, it'd still would only be able to carry 10 troops, and offer nothing that the C47 can't do except a faster speed. It'd be a big, easy target and would instantly become a hangar queen. Im not trying to shut your idea down, more planes is great, but it adds nothing to the game.

They tried it with the Sdzf 251, providing an alternative to the M3, exchanging speed for the ability to take down towns, yet no one ever uses them. Adding the C96 would be the exact same result.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

It was a high speed personnel transport plane that was not used drop troops or supplies like the C-47 was.  It was mainly used to transport personnel across the Atlantic and as a V.I.P transport.

20 troops :x

Which has been stated over and over is not going to happen.

This is another silly request for an "uber" troop transport, that fails in appeal to most, does not have a defined or useful role in the MA, and only creates circular logic from the people that think it (or other similar aircraft) should be added.

-1 for a stupid idea.

The only additional troop transport that should be added at some point is the Ju52.  It would give a nice choice for transports, very slow and lightly armed or slow and unarmed.  The C-47 would cover the troop transports for the US, USSR, Japan and the Commonwealth while the Ju52 would cover Germany and Italy for scenarios.  China, Finland and France can simply use whatever is most appropriate of the two.

Crew: 4 Pilots

Does that mean you can sustain 4 pilot wounds?   :salute

Why did you know it would fail?  Before posting, did you take time to seriously consider this for the game or did you just go "oh, oh, I want it?"  If you knew it was going to fail, it's your own fault for posting it.

One of my favorite all time planes. I had the pleasure of sitting in the Captain's seat of one, once. Very cool stuff!
