« on: February 15, 2012, 10:14:15 AM »
They were used a lot in ww2 and i think that they would be a great addition to the game.  here is a list of many differnet types used by America, Germany, England, Japan, ect...

I see a grand total of one actual attack helicopter (the only type that would be usefull here), and one 'assult gyro glider', whatever the hell that means.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

They drop it from 15k and watch it fluuter to the ground, confusing the gunners on the ground.

If you want to fly a helicopter, take out a 109K4.

Or a 156, get in the backseat, and turn as hard as you can ;)

Ok, so all I see when I click on the link is a list of what look like what I can only assume are the nomenclature of Heligyromachines by each respective country. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, I need to ask this question, where is the paragraph that describes them in attack or flight operations during the Second World War??? And NO...

This is a matter of "I want" instead of "I think the game needs."

I doubt we'll ever see a helicopter in game.
1) because of the negligible role in WWII
2) because of their lack of practical use in the game.

Would be fun though.

There's your problem. Your not even dedicated on your wish.

You probably just did a 5 min wiki search on WW2 aircraft and saw helicopters and decided to link it here, with no thought other than "OMG! AH doesn't have these so I will wish for it!"

You didn't take the time to look into it to see what role they played. Were they vital, what was their service length, did they see combat, were they in unit strength, etc etc.

Please for future wishes look into it, read about, find out as much as you can, does it fit with the guidelines HTC has etc, then come wish for it.
