A couple of notes from my own experience:

The Dora has more WEP than a Mustang, which can give it a slight advantage in some situations, especially if you're running for your life.

Throttle management is very important.  The Dora doesn't shed speed very fast, and if you don't watch your throttle you can miss your target or overshoot, or both.  You need to gauge your rate of closure so you have enough time for your guns to do the work, and enough speed left over to get out of the way.

A very well thought write-up from/for a player preferring a conservative style or just starting to learn the aircraft.


PS - The "butcher bird" was specifically the equally-infamous A-8.
