It's a cold winter day in Germany, late 1943. The sky is dotted with few clouds, visibility is fair. The call comes out of the loudspeakers "Allied air forces spotted crossing the channel. All pilots, action stations!" As quickly as the call comes out, III/JG11 rushes to their aircraft. The men have been itching all day to get up into the air. It takes a few minutes for the crews to prep the aircraft, but soon the engines start to whine to life, one right behind the other. Soon, 16 190A-5's of III/JG11 roll onto the runway to await orders from the tower.
Soon, the flight receives it's orders and take off!
After what seems like an eternity, a large group of the enemy is spotted heading towards Hamburg!
The gruppe is ready to attack, when suddenly the flight lead calls out "Escorts! Blast! The yanks have brought Lightnings and Thunderbolts with them! Oh well, more fun for the 110's then. "
The Lightnings are tougher to hit, but the heavy Thunderbolts make for easier targets.
After what seems like only a few moments, the fight is over. The yanks are back off to England and we land back at base.
