some places i want to go visit

Europe- Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, Italy (again) England (again) and "Normandy" France, thats the only reason i would want to go back to France is to see Normandy again.

South America- Chile, Falklands Islands

North America- Hawaii, ww2 battle sites in Alaska (Attu, Dutch Harbor)

Asia- South Korea, New Zealand, AUSTRALIA.

i dont think it'll be possible for me to go to all of those places during my lifetime. but i would like too. im planning on going to Germany, and Italy during Christmas this year.

@Selino: Europe's the easy one if you've got all summer to do it.  Get an off-season plane ticket, a rucksack full of clothes, and three hundred euros.  Start in Normandy, France, and then take the train all around Europe, sleeping in the cheapest motels that you can find.  The train is fast, comfortable, and relatively cheap compared to air or cab fare.  You'll be able to see most of the big capitols and some of the smaller cities (e.g., Munich, Mareilles, Sicily).  It'll take a while, but it's the only way to do it.  Your best bet is to squirrel money away for a long time into Treasury Notes, Index Funds, CD's, etc., that will come due while you're away to pay the bills.  Planning is everything, but it's worth it in the end.  Definitely see the coast of Spain, though, the nude beaches there aren't marked. :devil

I'd rather have three thousand euros penguin, 300 go very quickly.
Go to Germany, buy some season ticket over several countries (it used to be called inter-rail) and zig-zag between countries.
I once spent one month doing just that.
Also, try the UK.
Beware, - the capitals are EXPENSIVE. Go somewhere deep and you have a much cheaper deal and lots of interesting stuff. Go hiking in Wales and stay at Inns, or rent a canalboat, find some crazy locations in Scotland, etc.
Germany is also a pleasant surprize. Try the south and the former DDR, that rocks ;)
Poland was a surprize for me, I was there in 1998. Beautiful and not pricy.
I could go forever.
Or....go to ICELAND. All the funny odds and ends on one island.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I probably should have said that the idea is not to stay anywhere longer than the train layover.  You just go as fast as you can on the high-speed train with the tickets bought before hand.  I agree that money goes quickly, but I never said that 300 Euros would get you very much... :)

I doubt traveling across the whole US in a few weeks to see everything works, i would not do same thing in Europe,
pick one Country and stay there and enjoy it, to many different cultures in Europe to learn all of them in one week.
The statement below is true.
The statement above is false.

I recommend Europe via rail , i used a eurail pass , the trains are great  ,as for accomodation i payed cheapest 35euro for a night to most expensive 90euro ,only one hotel i booked and that was in Prague the rest  i just wandered around town and walked in .
Last time i did this was the first volcano ash problem , i was the only man in europe wanting to get delayed , however the ever so efficient Germans had other ideas and i left on time :(

I lived in Saudi Arabia, have been in many countries in Europe, plus Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, Taiwan and Malaysia.  Probably liked Italy the best, the scenery in Austria and Switzerland, the people of the Netherlands.  Overall, my favorite, where I want to live, is the USA.

Having served in the Royal Navy for 19 years, been a few places.

My favourite place visited - Madagascar - lots of unspoilt places to visit, some really odd animals to see and the locals brew some good stuff lol........

Breaking it down to continents - I've done Europe, all the scandinavian countries (for some odd reason, love visiting Finland)
Been all round the Med, Middle East, Far East - Never made it to Aus/NZ unfortunately. Japan rocks as a place to visit, did that twice.
North America - all over the great lakes, east coast, gulf of mexico etc and now living on the west coast lol......
South America - Brazil, Venezuala both excellent places to visit - some gorgeous women, and excellent brews to slip down yer neck whilst watching the sunset etc.
Falklands - if you can visit, recommend a trip up the twin sisters, tour the battlegrounds - stay away from the penguins, as they are protected and not very bright. Dont worry about any stray landmines, most of the ground is wet and boggy - so they move and are mostly rusted out. Do keep an eye out for legacy boobytraps tho, some are still being found even now. (well, circa 1997 or so)

IF you get the chance to visit other places, take in the culture, try the brews and have fun - its both an eye opener and a great experience.
