I view the LA-7 as the home field advantage. If there's an LA-7 at your base he probably won't be there long, and if you're at an enemy base you have all the ability to not put yourself in the position to be tracked by him.

That would be enough to place #26 out of all 66 fighters in the game.

Regarless, the LA7 is so fast that if in any plane it will chase you down and kill you, only the 262 and 163 is faster at -10k. The LA7 needs to be perked, way too many use it for HO'ing and some fly it very well in the vertical. The 51 is not as fast and not as versitile in my opinion. When a base is under attack, I see about 50% LA7's lifting. I fly a variety of planes and have flown the LA7. It is a plane that should cost some perk points to fly, and many many players agree.

That goes for any plane for that matter, they all die and they all have their weaknesses.

He is young to the game as of yet and this is just a "Warm Up Whine". Wait untill he meets a stick who really can fly the La7 around about the time he feels his ACM is rockin hot and starts standing his ground. That's the WHINE you are going to have fun with. He is just discovering there are things faster than him on the deck when he's DDing outta town after a failed pick or HO. Let his frustration simmer. Time and patience for an epic WHINE........

We all had to learn the hard way just like he is now. Rolex needs to hold a clinic on "How to PICK and RUN the RIGHT WAY". Or our young warrior can go to Rolex's upcoming clinic on Basic ACM on the 21st. It's posted in the "Help and Training" forum.

LA-7, good airplane, but not perk worthy.  Great base defence aircraft though, can get into the fight quick with a lot of E already built up.

Its fast, manuverable and yet the Spit Mk14 and the F4UC and F4U-4 are perked, and they are nearly not as much of a plane as the over-modeled LA7.

The day an La7 can beat any of the 3 planes mentioned above in a 1vs1 let me know.
The La7 sucks...period.

La7 vs spit14, my vote is on the la7 tho      All the spit has is high altitude performance and a slight climb rate advantage while the guns/stability/turn radius all go to the lala.
Against the c-hog, they both have serious advantage on the other one, it isnt easy to compare.
The 4hog completely owns the la7 in every aspect.

As for its range, if you dont want to travel at 370mph, or maybe 300 is enough for you, it can fly for like 50-55 minutes. Thats a pretty good range, i think. Its "combat time" what is a bit short.
