Neutral Bases?
« on: March 26, 2012, 11:39:57 AM »
Is it possible to create neutral bases?  Even if they are just dead and white-flagged until initially captured?

I am guessing the answer is no, as to the intricacies of how wins are calculated.

The reason I ask is to see if it would be possible to create a sort of "King of the Hill" Style scenario... where the 3 teams have home islands, with a central continent containing a large number of bases with no owner.

Obviously, a team jumping on the opportunity as soon as the map switches would gain an edge quickly... but it would certainly be something new.

Not the way you describe. You have to create bases for each of the three sides. So the only way you could have neutral bases is to only have players fly for 2 of the the three countries. That way the unused third country is technically neutral and the AA at its bases will fire on both sides.

There is no way to do it with three teams since there is no way to create a fourth country.
