Another thing. If rooks or knights are so 'brave', qhy hell they gang my spit ???

Don't you like Bishops tactics. Well I don't like Rooks one ...  boring
altitude playing and ... squad gang bang ... loose deuce squadron included !

About Knights ... well ... what could I say ... nothing !!!    :D

Let's forgot all this thoughts, play and have fun until we will have new maps.

When I first started playing I ran with Rolling Thunder, back in the day of the lanc NOE raids.  You send your minions out early to destroy the dar vh and ords at nearby fields then pow pow.  I think on one Falcon23 mission we dropped three fields in a row with the same group of resources.  Thats how easy a capture used to be and how many people would get in on the missions.

Fast forward a few years and now I just like putting around in a fighter and being challenged by a fun fight.  That may be the transition folks go through.  I personally find no challenge in having such huge odds in your favor.  I like going to an undefended base and starting on it by myself, because sooner rather than later, three will up to defend it, then a nice isolated fight happens.  That, then flying as a squad senior member and pick guys off the tail of minions and rack up kills because the minions don't know enough about ACM because your squad does no ACM training.  Probably for just that reason.

It is a shame that the satisfaction of seeing a base captured and scoring a few picks/vulches/camps satisfies some folks more than having a meeting engagement on even odds and out thinking your opponent to victory.

Where are random spawn points within a one mile circle?  When are the spawn points coming off the clipboard?  When is Radar going back up to 500ft?  Hypocritically the community by asking for the dar drop, inadvertently created the circumstances for mega raids.  So, which was worse, surprise little NOE or 40 plane raid?  When are the best aircraft for these raids going to be lightly perked?  If predominance of kills in the game are limited to three airframes, why are they not perked one point?  When is ENY going to be local?  When are we going to have a reason to satisfy our inner score potato to fly all of the way to the strats, instead of the clowns flying around bombing town centers?  Why do we have a B29 if not for the destruction of enemy strategic resources?  When is field ack going to be dialed back up to the way it used to be, a death blossom?  When when when.....

I would be willing to bet a years subscription that HTC has had some pretty interesting staff meetings talking about all of the things you guys bring up and they think through 4 or 5 layers to see what the end effect of that will be.  This time last year I did not see 5-600 folks on at a time, it was a bit lower.  Something is working for them, my guess is by design.

So, to all of you who are offended, just as I am, by the mega-horde, have a sip of scotch, up away from the action and pick a fight.  The guys who really want that, and are worth fighting, will quickly migrate to that rather than fly along with a horde.

There's over 100 fields on that map. 42 players on Bishops and I bet you at least 30 of them were attacking the same field all at once.

Its funny, the Germans and Japanese complained when the Allies struck with overwhelming force as well. Seems after a few complaints, the "rules" of the war were changed for those that couldn't find a good dogfight or tank battle <sarcasm font

I fly exclusively Bish and was on for about an hour last night, died about 20 times and got few kills because of overwhelming numbers........it's just a game. In the face of overwhelming odds I upped to defend bases over and over that we were clearly going to lose.....free planes and the girls I meet don't care what my k/d is on AH. And honestly, it makes me better when the odds aren't so lopsided.

As much as you dislike the hordes, I dislike the "gamers" that just want a good dogfight on even or their terms. Usually a pair parked 5k over my head complaing on 200 that the pony at A36 is a sissy because it won't engage in a fight where it is at a clear disadvantage. They need to come down and meet me co-alt, co-E...... I digress............... Couple of suggestions;

1)Furball Lake-All the digfights you want without all the hastle
2)Go DA someone
3)Go get some therapy, hypnosis maybe.......it's just a game

BTW, I like to get in above a horde and find I get many kills of the preoccupied base takers.

i think your response was stupid.   i hope this does not constitute a personal attack, as i was commenting on the players response, and not said player.

It's probably beacuse most everyone know exactly what squad or person is taking advantage of the horde and corresponding fallout, to pad their score to uberness.  There are quite a few people in this game who have very good scores, beacuse when they play the risk nothing and they look to feed on those horde circumstances.  That is their "way".  Now, calling them out as wussies on 200, heck, they earned it.  Next couple of times you get your six cleared in a horde remember the name of the guy who cleared you.  Likley, he is not the one who check sixed you, and then he went right back up to 15K and waiting for the next lemming.

You can't get rid of hordes unless you pork literally every single base. Again, my response to this has always been:

Put a Tank Town on the map so the guy who wants to furball and GV can do it there and the guys who want to horde or fight hordes can do it elsewhere. If there is no TT, where do you expect us "furballers" to find any action? Besides the horde/against the horde.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

The 200 comment was a separate rant from hordes and I shouldn't have even posted that portion, I am not a complainer and I don't very often monitor 200 because the complaining and pi@@ing contests there are just silly. As far as A countyman with alt using the low guys as bait, I find 80% of the time that occurs the country switching squads are usually the culprits since there is a certain sense of loyalty to fellow countrymen for those that don't switch (with a few exceptions).

As far as the horde and vTARD complaints, it happens on all sides and whatever country you are on it feels like it's just you. I tag along on vTard missions now and again, they are pretty organized, good banter along the way and we take a base or two. The thing is in war when the opponent uses a tactic to accomplish a goal, the solution is not to alter the rules of the war but instead to alter and adapt ones tactics to counter the move.

we've always tried stirring up a fight away from the hordes by taking a few attack planes, killing radar and working the town. not to take the base, but to look like a base-take push is starting and get a response. these days the usual response is every 88/AA position filled and a few wirbles ... yawn

If I see a potetial mission at one of our bases I will usually only up if it is a CV mission so by the time I meet the enemy I am close to co-alt and/or E. Or, if it is a mission coming in at a higher alt, there are a good number of guys upping with me. If the mission comes in high and there are only a few guys to defend, it is silly to try and up and most certainly quickly perish, and sound tactic to use a more survivable method of defense like the 88, field guns or whirbs until a larger defense force decides to arrive (errr.... if they decide)
