Oclub subforum

I would like to see a subforum added to the top of the O'club for nothing but topics on different aviation museums.

Now in this subforum, a member can create a new topic for an aviaiton museum that he/she belongs to or has visited. Once this topic has been created, it would permanately be there with all the others. There would only be one topic per museum which anyone could post in. And if the museum is like the CAF which has multiple Chapters, a topic can be created for each chapter. These topics are not meant to replace topics in the oclub for airshows, but are to give more info on the organization itself or whats happening behind the scenes.

Topic name Examples:
Air Heritage Inc. - Beaver Falls Pennsylvania, USA
CAF: Camarillo Chapter - Camarillo California, USA

Im looking at the benefit coming from more of the member actually working there, than that of the people just visiting and posting pics. I know there are a lot of people in Aces High that belong to museums from around the world. It would be a nice way for people to come in and give little updates on what is happening at their museum's or posting pics for others to follow.

UB6Pacman is a member of a museum in Australia.

I have had countless conversations with FBdragon and UB6Pacman over 200 or on country about our museums and will ask them every now and then and they will also likewise ask me...

Sorry, don't think it will happen. Skuzzy has already stated he doesn't want to add all kinds of forums, as everyone and their cousin will be requesting one from him. I can't say I disagree with him. I'm sure there's warbird forums out there that already have exactly what you seek, though.

Also, to add to your list of volunteers:

I believe MAINER volunteers at the Owl's Head Transportation Museum here in Maine.

The head of the museum is a big car buff, but they do have a number of biplanes, as well as aviation events in the summer time. Can't wait to fly down there this summer.

Sure buster there are, but im not going to go to them and ask a question like who all plays aces high 2... it would give our own community for information about the people within the community and how they are helping to preserve aviation history... I also dont think we would have an issue with threads either, as with my first post, only one thread per museum, period...

Are you guys going to fly it?

We were restoring it for flight prior to it being taken from us like by the Tallichet's. We had all new plumbing installed in it and was making nice progress on it making a lot of custom parts...

I have no idea. While I'm a member I am not too active in anything there except visiting the airshow. It's more than an hour away from me and caring for Mom I just can't drive over on a whim.
The most activity I have ever done there was a couple years ago after the airshow, I helped the sound man take down the speakers and helped put away the audio equipment they used.
