Super Smash Brothers Brawl missing a key character

Tails

Tails should have been in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.  The character I'd axe instantly from Brawl would be Lucas in favor of Tails.  Oilmar would be a close 2nd.  It honestly surprised me (still does) that he wasn't included.  I was kind of hoping he was going to be a hidden character when I heard about SSBB...  Of course, it didn't happen.     They instead added another character from an obscure game (EarthBound; Ness & Lucas) I never knew existed until after I picked up Super Smash Brothers for the N64 way back when.  At least I heard about Pikmin (Oilmar) BEFORE I got SSBB....  With the rumor of a possible 4th in the series, I can only hope that they don't screw it up...and that Tails gets included this time around.

Sonic has been on Nintendo consoles only for the most part since Sega stopped making consoles. Also, Olimar does deserve to be in. Tails does have a reason to be in, but adding him opens the flood gates for the myriad of new Sonic characters that idiots will want to have in as well. However, I would remove Snake as he really has no place in it, and add in Mega Man. Mega Man I think deserves a spot more than anyone.

If Snake were to be replaced by Mega Man, you wouldn't get a complaint from me.  That too surprised me a bit, both Snake being added and Mega Man not.

As for Tails, still should have been included.  Tails has been around for almost as long as Sonic after all and leaving him out is like if they had decided to leave Luigi out.  A doozy when it comes to the others though.  If they don't pull another Pichu on us, then I'm certain that they would do okay on the issue.

Would we get Mega Man or X?

I'm curious to which powers Mega Man would get and if they come with refillable energy or not.  Would he be able to preset before a match, or will you have to pick them up like an item during the match?  What would his Ult be as well?

For X, Ultimate Armor would probably be his Ult and would probably be a one off.  As for the Original, THAT is a doozy.
