I have an awesome idea What if like if your plane gets shot up and stuff you can land and repair it if you don't want to lose your one kill you got if this other guy like crashes into the ground and stuff close to you and its says you killed him right I mean you can fix planes in real life and stuff and tanks too you you need more bullets so you should fix planes too that would be cool i know someone asked for this once befoe but it would be really cool we need it please please put it in or I might quit and play COD cause thats like more real and stuff KTHANXBYE

Aces High is not Tekken, or Mortal Kombat (tm). Even in those games you cannot continue a "kill streak" unless you are actively engaging the target all the time. Any break in contact lasting longer than second in those games resets the combo count to Zero and the process starts all over. Essentially this what a sortie is: You "Up"; spend a set amount of time flying (possibly make contact, break contact) and land. End of Mission. Whatever craft you "killed" during that sortie is the total hit count for that particular combo (sortie). When you stop( for whatever reason) that counter resets to Zero; you begin a "new" sortie. Even in Call of Duty each Map is a SINGLE MISSION. Your kill count doesn't carry from one map to the next. As for being able to repair vehicles in game with Call of Duty; Aces has that ability with Supply drops to Ground Vehicle's.  So the threat to leave is largely empty and useless in the making as far as I see it.

As much as i like being able to start anew in a fresh tank after receiving fresh supplies, there is simply no way to replicate the Battle Damage Assessment process and still have the vehicle your currently using be battle ready. B.D.A is essentially cannibalization of a severely damaged/destroyed vehicle to repair another  but more feasibly repairable vehicle away from base and away from proper repair facilities. It's a quick fix for problems other than Fire Power and Mobility Kills.  The shortest you could Replicate either of this is 30 minutes to an hour real time in game. I doubt anyone wants to be sitting on a rearm/refuel pad, Hangar, or in one spot for that length of time just to continue a possible "kill streak". Real battles in game very very rarely last that length of time anyway whether its between aircraft or ground vehicles.

To help understanding I'll explain it this way, and i do not mean to be insulting in this; just informative to those that may not know. Mobility kills are having your treads or engine knocked out, but the main gun and crew served weapons (Pintle mounted/hull mounted MG's and the like) are still fully operational. you can still fight albeit in place. Fire Power kills are the exact reverse of a Mobility kill. You can still move but not shoot. A Catastrophic kills render your vehicle completely useless in that you can neither move nor shoot. You're dead.

Again, personally I think supplies dropped in the Field should be used to replenish ammo and fuel only for tanks and ground vehicles, much like landing on a carrier or a rearm/refuel pad at a base for Aircraft. You shouldn't start with a "like new" vehicle (after replenishment) if your vehicle has been disabled due to being firepower or mobility killed. If Battlefield drops replicate the process of BDA then add a lengthy repair time for fire power and mobility kills. It only makes sense in terms of realism. Catastrophic Kills wouldn't get this benefit for self evident reasons.  Either way you're out of action for a set amount of time as far as Vehicle or aircraft operations are concerned; "Kill Streaks" should stop.

Yes there is a Huge learning curve in flying. It starts on Take off and ends on the glide slope for landing. In short The grade arc is the difference you take between being in the sky or in a mountainside.

The choices about repair have absolutely nothing to do with realism.

It is not more or less realistic to repair after a short period of time, or to die and jump into a new plane every 2 secs.

The case could be argued that the repair is more realistic because it is conceivable, where coming back from the dead is not.

So the choice is simple game play. As I have said before,it is a simple matter of how to define a sortie. Rearming pushes the sortied concept some what, but it still requires a mostly undamaged plane. As I have said before, I have no problem with the concept , if it ended your sortie for scoring, and began again. But that is why people wish it , to continue their kill streak/sortie. Just like any rule the line has to be drawn at some point where a sortie ends. We chose damage as one criteria that will end a sortie.

same thing that happened to the other 600 threads for this wish.

only reason guys want this is so they can get to that ever so hard to master 2+ kill sortie and get their name in lights.

There was, is and always will be zero reason fir this.

That's...  kind of the point.  What does it actually 'improve' other than the ease with which people who can't avoid bullets get their name in lights?
