A few questions from a Veteran noob
« on: June 16, 2012, 01:15:01 PM »
I finally got a computer and my X52's to start flying again, not online yet because i cant afford it at the time. But i've been setting up my stick and i ran accost a few problems im not to sure how to fix:

1. When i start a sortie i move my mouse and my head turns that way... How do i disable that?
2. Im not sure if it's because im offline or not but im unable to adjust my dead ban and dampening. It's a little loose and when i move my stick or rudder it dose not respond right away. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have been gone for a while so i don't know if these are something HTC has changed with the game so i figured i would ask.

Shift M toggles mouselook.

Options>controls>map controllers

click on the axis you wish to modify, check "Advanced"

Hope that helps.

The X52 has a pretty big dead zone due to the way the sensors are set up inside the joystick. You can mod the stick to correct this problem. It voids the warranty and involves opening it up.

Thanks but i dont need to mod it. it worked perfectly before just was unable to adjust the dead band and dampening yesterday, i have not had a chance to do it yet but at least i know how to now.

Thanks everyone for the welcome back. I cant say when ill be flying since my money situation is really tight i was hoping for Wednesday but i got to many bills to pay, and having a daughter is not cheep now a days... $17 per can of formula kills my money. So it may be a few more weeks. unless anyone wants to pay for me :D im good for it i swear. I'll be on the forums every now and again.

Till then <S>

wow thats cheaper than what we were paying, we were paying 22-25 a can for similac, a lady I worked on her house was paying 40 a can for some special stuff, and the state wouldnt help even though she was "low income" for weatherization.  just glad ours isnt on formula anymore :x dont worry when formula is gone the toys get more expensive lol
