Incendiary rounds
« on: June 25, 2012, 03:21:01 PM »
I thought this would be a good idea because it was invented in WWI and used in WWII and Since this is the WWI and WWII sim I thnik it should be added

By late 44 I beleive almost every US air group using the 50cal had moved to API only. You could not really aim with a tracer becasue the actual round was ahead of the bright blob of light. I think our tracer in the game operates more like a plasma arrow.

Tracer = weak incendiary, wish granted.

And besides that, what would incendiary rounds do in AH? More damage? Sounds like a "wahhhh, game too hard" whine when you actually think about it. 'can I have my guns do more damage?' you would shoot it down so fast it would make the Op's head spin if he phrased the request differently, even if it asks for the same thing.

I am now curious to what the exact ammo load out are in our planes.  Didn't the US PTO planes start using primarily incendiary rounds after mid 42 because the quickly figured out how flame-y Japanese planes were?  Wasn't the ammo loads in the ETO more AP/HE based due to the armor of the planes there? :headscratch:

Hey, I had an account for over 18 months at one point when I was unable to play. Couldn't use it, but still had it.

And I'd have another account if I had access to an AH-capable computer right now.

Have you looked at your 20mm hizooka rounds, 1 shot garbage in this game...
