I don’t think the rear view on a top mounted monitor would be practical either.
I just didn’t say it wasn’t possible.

That button board looks home made. It's not a Saitek product. Deadstikmac could make a similar board with throttles and trim levers using the USB board I linked.

I would suggest getting the thrustmaster warthog. Yes it is expensive but it has more buttons and switches than you could ever use in Aces High.  I started building my own switch boxes but the one major drawback is when you are dog fighting it is much easier using hotas then looking for home made push buttons.  If you price it out and factor in design and assembly time the store bought hotas
wins.  The one thing I kept in my set up was a home made rotary trim box with large turning knobs.  I need to post new pics of my home cockpit here. It is making a gradual change to multi task for Aces High and DCSA10.
