Alot of squads have thier own comms channels ie Ventrillo or teamspek this might be why your not getting information.

That's the very itneresting thing I stumbled across a long time ago:

At US prime time, with many more players online that at offpeak ('Euro') time, there is notably less useful communication on the open channels. More players but less info is being spread...  :uhoh
I guess those squads do only use their internal comms.

I try to call out as much as possible.  Sometimes my SA fails me and I'm engaged before I can type it out but when I do have the time:

1. Aircraft type

2. Position

3. Altitude

4. Heading

Example:  B17's, West of 71, 23k, heading East.

It is very seldom I miss calling out bombers.  I figure they are community property and they should be shared  :devil

Fighters I try to call out when there is more than one, or if I am scared, or both.
Wag more, bark less.

It's very difficult to give accurate information when in GVs.  You can't just say "by the red barn" because there are an infinite number of identical red barns.  The entire terrain is just a collection of unnamed repeating features that all look the same so it is difficult, or often impossible, to single any location out.  You can only hope to reference position to friendly icons, but due to the limitations of screen resolution, it is often hard to tell which direction the friendly is pointing to give him an o'clock heading to the target.  The only place there are actual location names is in the town.  The streets are named and supposedly you could say the enemy tank is at the corner of Hyteks and Suds, but I've never seen anyone ever do that.  Of course the addition of the Storch has improved GV location greatly.

However, the OP is right: there's lots of utterly useless information given.  My favorite is "There's a tank over there in those trees".

bombers just tear me up, most often I leave them alone....I generally don't care what you guys bomb....just sux when bomber guys do it to ruin a good fight...not saying you are one of those guys...hell I would be quite surprised if I heard you bombed something to ruin a fight.
