Never before had I had that many kills in a plane before, not 1 vulch, 1 re arm... most I had ever gotten was 19, and I landed it, you can't imagine how mad I was when I died with those 22

The reason my butt mainly stays out of the air in the MA's.  The anything for the kill mentality that prevails there.  Thank goodness for FSO and scenarios.  Limited lives makes an entirely diferent game.  Sorry to hear about your connection issues effecting FSO playing.

don't blame ya ink, last tour was first tour I split 50/50 from flying high eny planes to low ones, frankly hate to say it but the game turned into Horde vs Horde.

I probably will see a rise in 262s and tempest flights this tour, or 51s etc.

ya it bumms me out some of the very best times was in FSO....crazy boring flights made fun because of my crazy squaddies....  then a swirling mass of red and green...truly gave me a glimpse of what it was like for the real fighters of that day.

i fly a stuka, because its more fun to be challanged. but i see your point, and im getting close to the same opinion.. i know your good, and you know your good, and that is all that counts.

ehh free planes in the hanger ...I try to never let the game get me "mad" I log as soon as I feel it happening.

yup...the K4 and spits will be getting a few more sorties from me...probably more in the spits the damn tater in the K4 and I have issues....

Selling your soul to make the numbers better.  Don't do it INK.    You could shoot every last one of the horde down in your Spit XVI and all you'd be able to say is the only way you could beat em was to join em.  It says nothing about your ability or credibility, and speaks loudly to your frustration.  That last part is still on you.

I hope you think about it again before you go down that path.  it's not about the number of kills.  It's about the quality of the fight.

I only see quality in the fights when its FSO or Scenarios, otherwise MA is just trashy.

been saying that to myself, for a long time now......you know what... I was wrong.....to truly win/fight/compete against the hoard,  ....you must use the tools before you.......why ignore the best planes in the hanger when that is what it takes to actually compete in the MA if you are more or less a lone wolf such as I?

joining them would be joining a huge hoard of green guys attacking one low con.....

me from now on....I am gonna use the best tools...... the dirtiest tricks....... to kill them all....

But Bustr said....

I flew for the first time this month.  Took off in the old 38G from a field getting attacked.  Got into a fight with a BnZ 47M.  Best I could do was hug the deck and hope he augered.  Just about pulled it off too.  Bled his E down until I finally was able to reverse and get a shot from about 600 out as he was still fast.  All kinds of parts came off.  He didn't go down, but didn't come back down either.  Despite my rust I could still work the 38G.  I ended up getting picked right after that but the first fight was worth it.

Took off again from a nearby field as they took the one I was at initially.  Headed towards the dar bar.  Found 2 sets of Lancs above me with a single Tony escorting.   Down he came.  The Lancs droned on so he was doing his job.  Again we got mixed in and I was lucky enough after about 3 minutes of bending it to work in behind him and shoot him down.  I said to Soulyss later that I should probably shut down for the month as I'd had my one really great fight.

But he and I upped and wandered towards a large dar bar.  Again we got mixed in with a number of baduns.  Pleasantly surprised to see they wanted to fight outside of one 38L who keep HOing and running.  He died a number of times as that really didn't work for him.  In the end both Soulyss and I ended up in the water, he from a pilot wound and me from out of fuel.  But we'd downed a few birds and the fights had been agreeably fun from both sides.

Not going to quit playing that way just cause I might have a couple of frustrating nights
