Wouldn't the info be outdated by the time the photos are finally developed?  ;)

you could post the timestamped data when the sortie is landed or ditched. the photos could be produced very quickly if required. I reckon I could do camera to print in about 15mins if I really had to, although the negs would not be fit for archiving.

Planes like these could be used to spot CV's and vehical spawns
When one of these flys over a carrier group and snaps a picture the CV showns up on the clipboard with a circle that slowly expands to show the possable location of the group
After about 10minutes the CV dissapears from the clipboard

Great ideas...or how about when you fly a recon plane you can see gvs better just like the Storch plane.

think about it, you want a slow plane to go over town and take a picture while there's enemy fighters over it.  by the time it gets back to base the town would have changed.  besides who wants to look at a picture when all you have to do is look out the window for yourself.
I'm not aying that the plane has to land for the information to become avalable, but it becomes avalable as soon as the "photo" is taken
Anyway this is more of an idea to track CV's than anything else

It's not really useful because those in regular planes can do the same job using vox or even text to relay the information in real time.

:airplane: Guess you never heard of Richard Bong! Had more certified kills in a P-38 aircraft than any other American fighter! While there were many used as recon aircraft, especially at night, that was not the primary function of the P-38. The nose compartment of the 38, with guns removed, was ample room for camera equipment.

Same with the P-51B (F-6C-NA) and the P-51D (F-6D).

I'm curious, did any recon plane carry ordinance or guns with them?

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I flew the P-51D for BDA Recon in an FSO frame last year. Had to land successfully and turn in my film to the Admin CM too.  :D

Some were armed and some did have the ability to carry ordnance.

i hope you arent saying that ive never heard of the great dick bong. Not only the most kills but he is the highest scoring american ace to date. 3 of the top 5 WW2 american aces were in 38s. my state ment was simply that the 38 was used as a recon plane. If you want to learn about the P38 and its two best pilots read the book Aces High by Bill Yenne. It accounts for every kill R. Bong and T. McGuire plus may others from the 15th Air Forces fighter pilots.
