Uploading Staged Mission Help
« on: August 16, 2012, 05:39:52 PM »
Could someone please break it down for me from start to finish.  I'm getting errors just trying to upload my missions.  The resource editor is saying that the missions have to be rebuilt to check for errors.
Did that, but I must say, I'm completely lost as what to do to find any missions when I start AH.
Do I look for the uploaded missions under Custom Arena or in the MA.  In the chance I do find a mission, I'm told that I have to reboot to change the terrain.
Hope somebody can do a step-by-step tutorial to explain in detail how this works.

Thanks
Coogan

Step 1) Build mission or unfortunately in your case Coogan Re-build your mission
Step 2) "Save As" mission - don't care if you have already - just do it again
Step 3) Build Res - if no errors move onto 4
Step 4) "Normal Save"
Step 5) Build Res AGAIN - why? It has prevented some odd errors on my end
Step 6) Run HTC's resource builder program
Step 7) Browse for your .mis file
Step 8) Give it a description
Step 9) Check the box "Upload terrain to host"
Step 10) Input your ID and password
Step 11) Upload - takes about 4 seconds...
Step 12) Open a Custom Arena with the proper map and run your staged mission
The boiling pot is put away and the crab has gone back to sea...

Ok, I followed your instructions and was able to upload and access my staged mission.  The problem I now have is populating the mission.  I have selected create arena and made sure to choose the corresponding terrain for the mission.  I then enter the created arena and load the mission.  Next I select populate mission.  Thats as far as I can get.  There are no pilots listed to assign.  At the time of attempting this, I was the only player.  Wouldn't my name be under unassigned?

Thanks

The way it is supposed to work , if not please post as much info as you can why it doesn't/.

1. Save in editor.

2. Clean build in editor.

3. Upload.

If any saves happen after step 2 . You will have to do a clean build again.

It should be as simple as load in the editor , build (assume no errors)
then upload
