you got em.
19 year survivor here. Things I learned when going through my ordeal.
Maintain an even plain. Dont let yourself get too low or too high.
Stay positive at all times.
The longer you have to wait for test results. Usually the better the results are. Its just the doctors rechecking everything to make sure nobody missed anything.
If the doctor says to "stay active" then stay active. I went though nearly half my treatments before I realised that at least me personally. the more I layed around after treatments the worse I felt. the simple act of getting up and moving around and keeping my mind busy made me feel better then any of the anti nausea meds they gave me
Depending on her treatment. If its chemo there will be times she may not want to eat. I used to receive my treatments every other thursday and I wouldnt eat again till the following sunday night.
But when I could eat. I ate as best as I could. All fresh food. Meals made from scratch.
during times I couldnt eat besides no appetite everything tasted disgusting. An egg sandwich tasted and felt like I had a big blob of snot in my mouth. And cola soda tasted like garlic water. I found things that I could drink that did taste normal. For me it was powdered ice tea mix. And beer.
Since I wasnt eating for 4 days the doc gave me a big green light to drink all the beer I wanted. LOL Too bad Im not a big drinker. I kept it moderate.
You will have to find what works for you. And its all dependant on the type of treatment as well
In the meantime. keep your chins up and keep moving forward
Good luck to the both of you
