Came across this on another website. Combat veterans might recognise aspects of it. For me it represents one of the most extraordinary sequence of photos of the reality of war I have ever seen. It speaks for itself.

It only covers a few millieseconds. Very powerful stuff.

What I find poignant is the sweeping brush, undisturbed in the carnage.

Everytime I read articles on Iran and Syria from those living there - I just truly feel bad. They just want to wake up in the morning without fear- to live their lives in peace.

There was a bulletin board for a young girl in Iran, who opposed the muslim religion and life style, she wanted to be free - she posted a few comments over few months but eventually disappeared, pretty sure we know what happened to her.

I learned to hate humanity more and more every day, but certain times I see humanity get restored by the acts of kindness. We don't need anymore wars, killings or crime, but then again humanity hasn't changed over thousands of years.
