+1 and sadly the reason they don't for very long is because viewed from the cons perspective you present a target not even I could miss!

Maybe because the 'fight' is dead in the MA. You tailside around jus for the sake of doing will kill all energy you had...only reason to use it is as a last move effort to throw a enemies shot off.

It's funny when flying around and seeing people "tailslide" because I just watch them helplessly flutter about trying to regain control while I Am lining up for a easy kill.

But... have you seen Lepape, Krupinsky and a couple others flying? Maybe it isnt the most effective way, but some people have impressive skills for sure.

Kabooki taught me this a long time ago, pull back enter right rudder and left aileron, or is it vice versa, left rudder and right aileron.  Dont remember well, I dont do this move often, need tons of alt from my experience, and as stated above you lose most of your E, but it is fun to do.

You don't need a ton of alt.  I did this in a B-29 at 2k and pulled out with ample altitude to spare.  With a little practice offline in a 109K, I was able to perform the move while barely losing any altitude at all.
