Are you gonna cover the cork with leather? Once you are done?

No I chose the cork for its tactile quality. It's actually quite a nice material to work with also, sands well. The grip is built up from drinks coasters.

Can't decide whether to paint the plastic parts black when finished or leave them raw dark green. Might rework the trigger as well. It's two-stage using microswitches but might swap plain ones for roller ones if I can find them that small because it feels a bit 'scrapey'.

Yes fantastic facility for parents on a sticky wicket. I'll make a thread about it and describe our experience. Where do you work / what do you do Josh?

Right now I'm in my third year as a full time student at a private university in Tennessee, but part time i work at a seed company.  My high school always did fundraisers for St. Jude and the Ronald McDonald House.  Continued that after school by collecting can tabs off of aluminum cans to send down there.  It's been a couple of years in the making but we have almost filled a five gallon bucket full of them.
