Exactly so dont blow it off because its been "given a little bit of love".
I never blew it off as totally useless but it pretty much is. Right now its just a symbol saying "we fixed an old carrier to old standards" and attempting to show it off. There are no planes capable of flying from it and I doubt its gone far from its home port. Maybe in a few more years when there's planes/helicopters that can fly and land from it and when its finally been deployed in combat i'll think of it as fairly dangerous.

And don't forget that its only used for training for now.

Haha the euros always say such negative things about the US when someone brings up China....not a single shot aye? These bananas obviously haven't seen some of the normal US citizens gun collections.....some could arm a platoon size element with rifles.

Bring on that carrier and that million man army....your fighting a force of combat tested leaders.

Why would China invade the country that gives them Trillions of diollars to fund its economy?

I don't think they would try in my life. But I do think they have an interest in an area of the world where the US has a lot of interest.

Funny thing is that China could end the US without firing a single shot.

They could make it hard for us untill we get our s*** together, but I don't think they could "end" us.

Thats one of the good things about having a large standing military, and big stockpiles of weapons; if someone we owe money to tries to collect, we can hold the country together untill we sort things out.

If several major exporters did it simultaneously, we'd most likely be screwed. But I don't think they would have the nessecary level of cooperation, especially with China.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

I skipped ahead so if someone brought it up sorry for asking.

I have always been curious about the ramp at the end of some carriers mostly Russian I believe. It puts you in a high attack angle at a low speed wouldn't this be an issue for a stalling. I do recall seeing videos of bad cat launches where someone would have to eject. I see this as making a dangerous situation worse. Or does it have to do with the type of aircraft they intend to launch.

I think the British were the first to use the ski ramp just as they were first with steam catapaults. The original ski ramps worked fine for Harriers and will probably work fine with today's tactical aircraft and their high thrust to weight ratio.

Oh I see so now you're hostile against China AND europe? Boy you need to get your head checked. Which european carriers/ships/planes and troops inside them would you like to use for target practise and which cities would you like to nuke? Have you noticed the absolute lack of europeans making plans on attacking American targets?

When you sober up please reread this and junkys statement and please please tell me how Junky was hostile n any form toward the Euros, other than his pointing out that Euros would lose it if they saw some Americans private gun collections, which isnt very hostile more of pointing out the ignorence of Euros when it comes to Americans and thier guns. :aok

As for nuking a European city I'd personaly go with Copenhagen for making that crappy snuff. Europen ship for target practice definatly the Foch.
