Came on last night a bit lethargic. My first sortie was in a Jabo. Dove in on 109 to kill the ordinance and wham, killed by a manned ack I think. Next sortie was again in a job. Dove on the town and killed only 2 buildings. Oh well there's still fightin' to be had. I go to shoot down a 109 and forgot to turn my tracers on. I sometimes have them off when I'm werbling. I lightly ping the guy but then I'm missing parts. Killshooter! Later I head to defend 112. Well it gets worse. I was on the six of a con and he stick stirs his way to wirbles. I turn to avoid the werbles and he pulls on my 6. Not having my full facilities I don't even dodge and I think I hit the ground while looking back.
Well enough of that. Knights capture 112 back before the vhs even pop. Pretty darn good if you ask me. Then I would help at 34 by bringing a goon. Leave from 123 and head that way. It's a long drive for a gv I figure. Get just outside the dar circle and we capture the base. Well should I ditch or not. Some other bases could use the help. I see 108 is under attack by knights. So I decide to head there. It's only 3 sectors away or about that. I point the goon in that general direction and make dinner.
After about 20 minutes 108 looks scarce of knights. Oh well head there anyway. Then when I'm just in the dar circle I call out several times if the town is white flagged. No replies. Then a 51 comes overhead. The only dar around he's overhead. I hug the water and feared looking into his eyes. He comes with 2.5k of me and somehow misses me. Maybe he was looking up. I continue asking how's the town and finally get a reply. "It was flat a few minutes ago. I turn to town. Off my right an unfriendly 110 is blasting away at another goon with about 4 knights on him. Our goon explodes and I keep chugging. Then the 110 comes back. Once again with 4 knights on him. He's a goner. The town is blue flagged. I yell out the town is blue and the goon has landed by the town. 3 or 4 knights come in and in seconds the town is WF. I release the troops and they begin their trip to the map room. All the while I hear La7 is heading to the town, kill the zero, watch the high 51, and so on. Finally I could see the troops going in. Then boom, map room destroyed. That was my first goon capture of a base in probably a year.
