I am, James. Luckily I do not live in the parts of Gloucester that always floods out. :)

I'm over by the Courthouse area. I SHOULD be good to go this time around as well if the trees stay in the ground.

Small world! Im in the northern part of the county. Looks like a few trees may come down on the roadway or in the neighbor's yard if the wind picks up.

"Life threatening Storm Surge".    I see Drama Graduates make it into Meteorology these days.   Talk about over-sensationalism.

I hope you are 110% correct.  If by chance you erred, a mea culpa is not a bad thing.  And I end, hoping with you, that it is overblown.

Maybe you are right.Click below  on the buoy next to storm center, gives fresh info; the highest wind speed shows 46mph and 36 ft waves, but this is not over .

Here in NE Ohio it rained all day Friday.  Now it is still raining because of the storms outter bands heading north along a stalled cold front.

We've had 48 hours of constant rain.  Natioinal Weather Service has issued a flood warning and a high wind warning for the northern half

of Ohio.  The warning extends until Tuesday.  This storm is huge.  The state of Ohio is readying for the potential of wide spread power outages

due to the sustained winds forcast at 45mph with gust up to 60mph.  There also is the possibility of getting anywhere from 4 to 12 inches of snow

from this storm.  With 48 straight hours of rain and more to come the ground is saturated.  Sustained winds will topple trees.  This is Ohio

fer crissakes!  We don't get hurricanes.

Hajo, I took a Masters at Bowling Green.  Helen was 3 months old.  Now she's a beastie gal at Berkeley coming up on 20.  And Ghi, that stuff gives me shudders.  Ya know.  We just can't jack with stuff and think we are all okay and happy because of our efforts.

I'm thinking of Mixer in Maine.  Sorry I do not know more of our AH family on the eastern seaboard.  There's bunches.  Hopefully, the threat is overblown.  But if I were working there in by present gig, I would have apologized to my employer and driven those I love south west.

Drive south west.  Forget about work.

Like Mom and Dad: candles, blankets, water, and something to eat.  Oh God love the lowly spud.
