Did anyone try out the AvA when the MA was closed?

Apparently not during the time I was playing. When I logged on, there were ~100 in MW and none in AvA. Plane stats indicate that it wasn't much different at US prime time.

Early war is a mess. almost every plane is available, and my favorite non- perked plane is now a perked plane. Sucks when a now non- perked 262 shoots you down and costs you points. Didn't even know until I ditched. I'd like my points back since this is an egregious error on Hitech's behalf.
