Neverwet
« on: November 10, 2012, 02:38:08 PM »
This stuff, if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, looks like it could totally revolutionize they way we live. It's superhydrophobic, meaning it repels water VERY well. It can be sprayed on clothing, shoes, and just about anything you don't want to get wet, and water and oils and anything else wet will run off without getting it wet. I want some... SOON!

I saw this in a Biomimicry lecture a while ago. Interesting thought to coat the hull of a boat. Or a car windscreen, bye bye mechanical wipers. Your future car cleaning regime might consist of a once-over with an anti-static duster

I will spray this on all of my brother's towels and his shamwows, rendering them totally ineffective.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Think about if you sprayed a whole vehicle with it, for example my jeep. I could go mudding in it and drive out of the mud hole completely clean!

The first thing I'm gonna put it on is my work boots. On the inside to.

Would never happen. They banned full body suits in for the London Olympics, and I am sure the banned stayed for other international competitions.
