Make it a separate plane, give it the 20mm nose guns or fuselage guns (of which plenty of A-20s and P-70s had and used to great effect), and remove the ord options.

No.  He should use the historically significant version and if he wants to misuse it, flying it far, far outside of its allowed flight envelope, as a fighter that is his prerogative.

If the quad 20mm option were added in an uncontrolled manner the quad .50 A-20G would become all but extinct in the game, despite the fact that 90% of A-20Gs were armed with only .50s.

     The F4U-C is perked.  But I believe 90%(ish?) F4U's didn't have cannon armament. So? That's why's it's perked. It wasnt historically significant, and I suspect most pilots in AH fly that outside its intended role as an attack version rather than the fighter they use it as.  I do not see why the A20 would be different?  I may be incorrect but I think perks have to do with gameplay balance to limit certain aircraft from dominating the game.  If I'm correct I see it being added with the new aircraft model when it eventually happens.  Following the trend of HTC updating the aircraft model as well as adding additional versions of the plane. eg. the Zero, P40, Ju87, Hurricane.
